- The EM250 superstructure measuring car currently has a track width measuring system (“OGMS” for short, “Optical Gage Measurement System”) from the manufacturer Plasser American Corporation, a track geometry measuring system and an ORIAN rail profile measuring system from the company KLD and a Rail surface measurement system installed. The current OGMS has been in use on the AG's measuring vehicles, including the EM250 superstructure measuring vehicle in question, for over 20 years. This OGMS is deep in the existing measurement landscape The upper tree measuring vehicle EM250 is anchored and has countless interfaces to other sub-measuring systems and to the central computer of the upper tree measuring vehicle EM250. However, the currently installed OGMS system no longer corresponds to the track width measurement today's requirements as well as the international and national standards (EN 13848 and RW 06.01.01) and the manufacturer of the OGMS system no longer offers any service or spare parts guarantee. In order to continue to carry out the required measurements according to RW 06.01.01 To be able to do this, you need an alternative/new system. The existing OGMS system is no longer serviced by the manufacturer. Accordingly, the existing rail profile measuring system should be upgraded. After this upgrade, the system can also change the track width measure and even according to EN13848 as well as continue to record the rail profiles with a higher sampling.
