- There are a total of 40 passenger boarding bridges at Vienna Airport, which are spread across the east, west and north piers. The aim of the project is to replace these passenger boarding bridges and to build 13 new passenger boarding bridges after completion of the planned expansion of the north pier. The project is scheduled to take place in four be carried out in successive phases (per pier or north pier extension).
