- Drainage flushing service on the Koralmbahn using an MDB flushing box
- Use of OeBB's own MDB flushing box (MDB 02) in the Granitztal tunnel and partly in the Koralm tunnel
- Provision of another MDB flushing box (MDB 03), which is yet to be built, by the contractor to cover requirements Koralm Tunnel
For the necessary drainage cleaning, the MDB flushing box is installed in the tunnel tube/cross passage crossing block above the central flushing shaft positioned and connected to the supply lines. The MDB flushing box remotely flushes all drainage from the flushing shaft both Line tubes and in cross passages over a length of approx. 600m each without hindering railway operations. Parallel to the flushing, quality assurance takes place at the same time using camera inspection. After the rinsing process is complete, the MDB rinsing box moves on to the next one during a break in operation Transported to the installation point and starts rinsing again.
