Description:
The neurosurgical department of the Donaustadt Clinic of the Vienna Health Association requires an intraoperative imaging an intraoperative ultrasound system, which is to be used for combined use with an existing navigation system. There is currently no possibility of oneIntraoperative imaging in brain operations, although the neuronavigation is designed for this. The department performs up to 300 interventions a year, in which an ultrasound system can be used sensibly and used for patient safety. In addition to borehole treplers and craniotomies, this includesIn the skull, also localization aids and imaging representations for spinal interventions, as well as the representation of peripheral nerves (Medianus/Ulnaris nerve). The combination of both systems is intended to significantly increase intraoperative accuracy and enclose intraoperative changes, whichEspecially occur in tumor operations.
